About
I’ve been making comics for as long as I can remember.
I make comics about people and places from my past. Many of them are autobiographical. Some of them are more fantasy based, but still involve people from my past and some are straight-up fiction. A comics essay I wrote for Medium.com, about getting my second-degree Black Belt in Karate, has had over 4,500 reads and 16,000 views. One of the best things about revisiting the past through my comics is that, as I work on the stories, I start to understand those experiences better.
I table regularly at comics conventions around the country; Mocca, SPX, and CXC are favorites. In 2024 I tabled at CXC, Short Run in Seattle and at The Non-fiction Comics Festival in Burlington, Vermont.
My comics are in the Library of Congress’s Small Press Collection, and in the collection of Ohio State University’s Billy Ireland Museum and at Columbia University in the Butler Library’s comics collection.
